Big Band Tartu met a lot of guest conductors and other big bands during all the years of activity, with whom we continued to communicate. So we know our sommon interests, wish to lissen and share eachothers music and ideas, like to meet and study something new. Thatfor we organize 2nd International Happy Big Band Weekend 8-10th of April 2016 in Tartu and Tallinn, Estonia.

Star of this weekend will be Mr. Stephan Genze - jazzdrummer, composer, teacher and conductor from Berlin, Germany.

Our important international guest are Tampere Big-Band (cond. Juha Untala) and Jelgava Youth Noorte Big Band (cond. Raitis Asmanis).

From local forces will help us Viimsi Muusikakooli Jazzband, Big Band of G.Ots Music Shool, Big Band of Tallinn University of Technology, Tartu Levimuusikaorkester, Big Band of Eller Music Shool and Tartu Sax Choir. Big Band Tartu as organizer has pleasure to work with Mr. Stephan Genze himself and prepare a program of his music.
